The installer didn't know the difference between a DVD or a flashdrive. My tablet recognized the thumbdrive as 'removable storage' and I was able to launch the setup without a hassle. Then I was able to hook my flashdrive to the microUSB to USB OTG adapter. (I will cover different install methods in an upcoming article.) For now, suffice it to say I was able to copy my DVD's in their entirety onto my 16GB flashdrive. This is where the dongle and flashdrive come in. Since tablets don't come with optical drives, my first challenge was to figure out how to install from DVD's without one. Certainly more challenging than my straight forward install of Icewind Dale II.įirst off Anno came on two DVD's. Installation of Anno on my tablet was no simple task. Wow, does Anno run well on my Omni 10! It's honestly beautiful. The long version of my experience is found below, but for those of you who like to read the last page of a book first, the short version is to simply say, "Close, but no cigar." So I decided, "Why not, I'll give it a shot!" So I did. But, one day last week while I was perusing my game shelf looking for what I wanted to install on my tablet next.there she was! I'm thinking simulation and strategy games might be best type of games to play on a touch interface (better than FPS's at least!). I actually had even forgotten I owned it. (Gold Edition) wasn't even on my list of games to check out.
